Microsoft Office 365

Microsoft Office 365 is a cloud-based service that brings together the best tools for the way people work. Combining all the apps like Excel and Outlook with the cloud services like OneDrive and Microsoft Teams, lets everyone create and share documents anywhere on any device. It is the chosen site of collaboration tools for the BHNCDSB board/school.

Since Email and calendaring are in the cloud, it offers secure, anytime, anywhere access and includes the following:

  • Email: 50 GB of storage space
  • Calendar: manage your schedule, book meeting rooms and share your calendar with colleagues
  • Tasks: create tasks and reminders that you need to complete; like a to-do list
  • Contacts: stores your contacts so that you can access them from any device

To start using your Outlook 365 account, you will have to log into a computer (either at home or at a BHNCDSB computer). You will need your user name and your password.

If you are new to BHNCDSB, then you will have to wait for your profile to be created. This takes at least 48 hours to complete. You will have to email or call the helpdesk to check to see if this is completed or if you need to wait a little longer. Once created, and your email address will be emailed you, you will have to call the Help Desk to get your password.

Passwords will not be sent via email. Also, when calling helpdesk at any time, you will have to provide your employee number as this is a new process.
